
A Spark of Brilliance: How Varacco showcases their role and solutions for food security at the ADB FOOD SECURITY 2024

Varacco was invited the Asian Development Bank to participate in the Asia and the Pacific Food Security Forum 2024, which focuses on the theme of Investing for the Future of Climate-Food-Nature. The Food Security Forum 2024 is a biennial event organized by ADB with the purpose of addressing and exchanging ideas on emerging concerns, technologies, and trends that can contribute to the attainment of sustainable food security in Asia and the Pacific area. The event
.comprised 40 sessions, featured 242 speakers, and hosted 10 exhibitors. It took place from April 9 to 12, 2024, at the ADB offices in Manila.
At the event, Varacco's CEO, Ariestelo Asilo, played a pivotal role by participating in discussions and sessions. He seized the opportunity to introduce Varacco's COFFEE Program, shedding light on its innovative approach and the company's commitment to leveraging IoT technology. Asilo also recounted his personal experiences, highlighting the difficulties encountered by farmers in the

area and explaining how Varacco is actively working to tackle these issues.

Varacco Inc. was the only Filipino-owned and operated company chosen to demonstrate its initiatives, making it stand out among the other exhibitors. This acknowledgment emphasized Varacco's distinct and valuable contribution to the agricultural industry.
Every exhibitor had a similar objective of promoting agricultural solutions with the aim of improving food security. The event offered a venue for participants to interact with different companies, promoting possibilities for partnerships, financial support, and cooperation. Participants acquired knowledge about various farming techniques and cutting-edge technologies that are propelling the

sector forward through engaging exhibitions and instructive talks.
As the sole Filipino exhibitor, Varacco Inc. presented their Coffee-Based Farming and Entrepreneurship Engagement (COFFEE) Program. The objective of this initiative is to assist farmers in integrating Internet of Things (IoT) into their farming practices and empower them to become not just farmers but also Farmer-Scientists in the future.

In addition, they expressed their objective to advance inclusivity through collaborations with nearby farmers, communities, and marketplaces, aiming to foster unity

amidst variety, cultural harmony, and sustainability. This attracted considerable interest from both international and domestic entities, creating opportunities for potential collaborators and investors.
The event acted as a noteworthy milestone for Varacco, driving its projects ahead and boosting its dedication to its mission and advocacies. Varacco's dedication to innovation and addressing the issues encountered by local farmers was recognized by the recognition it received as the sole Filipino-owned and operated company among the exhibitors. Essentially, the event not only increased Varacco's visibility but also acted as a catalyst for its continuous endeavors to bring about good transformation in the agricultural sector, closely fitting with its overall mission and advocacies.
